    Question Marital Adjustment what qualifies?

I am married, filing alone. What have you included in the marital adjustment for spouses income not contributed to household? Will his premium for term life insurance count? How about his gym membership? What about Credit cards only in his name. He has to buy gas for his work truck and tools for his job as a carpenter, does that qualify? Also, is anyone out there in Connecticut? I would love to find more info on the Homestead exemption and if you used it to keep your house.

I did the same. My attorney didn't have me do any adjustments, just list all exoenses. He said that if the Trustee questioned them, we would address it at that time. He didn;t, so I was ok

      401K and Marital Adjustment

Married, not-filing jointly. Can my spouses voluntary 401K contributions and 401K loans be deducted in the marital adjustment?

      Thanks.

I'm looking for some answers on this too. I'm filing in a community property state but not jointly.

My wife has sole interest in a Horse (exempt) but the monthly expenses run about $500.
She owns her own transportation for her job, should her monthly expenses be an adjustment?
        Credit card payment?
        Cigarettes? ($150 )

All of the expenses she is legally responsible for are included in the martial adjustment as well as her contributions to the household expenses.
