Can you write off the lawyers fees on your taxes?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. If not, at least a portion of the filing fee should be written off. I wont know until next year. -
No - I inquired about this also when we filed in case a portion of it could be taken as "legal advice." However, I was informed by two attorneys and a CPA that none of the fees associated with BK filings are tax deductible. This information should be placed somewhere on here in the Sticky sections for future searches on the subject._________________________________________
