Chase has indicated that it will help homeowners avoid foreclosure. Has anyone who has their mortgage with them discussed what they're offering?

It is posted on their website what they offer. We have our mortgage with Chase and they have wanted us to do some counseling before they even help us out any at all. I asked for a deed in lieu, but they have denied it.
