Question on 341

When does the 341 meeting get scheduled? We filed on 10/11, pacer shows an update on 10/14 where the trustee & judge were assigned, but there is no hearing date set.

I thought it was usually set almost right away? Anyone got info?

It was at more than three weeks before mine was scheduled. I was able to find the trustee's schedule online, though, so I knew at least what day of the week it would be, and how often the ch 7 meetings were scheduled. At the time it seemed like forever....

Weird...mine was almost immediate, but I also had a lawyer, not sure if that changes anything. He filed on a Monday morning, told us Monday night when our 341 was....7 weeks ahead.

We used a lawer also. In our district it appears everything is required to be done electronically. I do have a complicated case with a combination business/personal filing. I thought that may slow it down.

Our 341 schedule was almost immediate. The day I saw our case posted in Pacer, we had a date.

I have gleaned from the forum that some cities are swamped. Florida being one.

We did get a Trustee that does more C7 business so they looked somewhat. But most I think are automatic.

Sometimes it is so fast, that the 341 meeting is scheduled before you even think of filing

I filed on July 8, and my 341 hearing was August 16 - in 2004. I think 341 hearings depend on the volumes in that court, #of trustees on any given day. The important thing is that you filed, and can give pesky creditors the name/phone # of your attorney.

Yep...

Just checked PACER today and we now have a date scheduled.

It is nice that we went from 100 calls a day to none within a couple days.
