I hope you all can give me some good advice!
We have started to look for a rental home. I'm getting really tired of the looks and discouragement I'm receiving when I tell them about our pending BK and foreclosure. I understand the concern, but it's still really hard to deal with.
We found a house that will work for our family. It's not the best house. but it has a nice yard and in a good neighborhood. The best part is that the house is all one level (which is hard to find where I live), and the rent price is very decent and would be helpful for us to start saving money. Matter of fact the rent is half of my mortgage. They are willing to rent to us with 3 months rent up front.
We made our last mortgage payment June 2008. We are getting loads of phone calls every day from the bank.
My question is should we try to stay longer in our house so that we can live "rent free" or should we take this rental house (with a lease starting 1 Nov.)?
