Garage Sale Value?

It truly is amazing the mark-up retail prices of things. Once you get it home and used once, that's it. More and more when something wears out, and DH can no longer fix it, we shop for replacements at the second hand stores.

I had no idea this was so crazy. Thanks for the links, I am looking over the letter my Attorney sent it just said "garage sale value for all household goods" I guess I need to call and find out if it needs broken down or not before I waste my time adding stuff off.

My wife just had an hour of 8 minute contractions and they promptly stopped!

This is getting really drawn out he needs to come out already!

I first listed everything in the house. All the big stuff. Then went on E-bay and searched for the lowest price item that sold, copied the item number next to my item. Then listed the price.

I am on a fixed income and my assets can not be over 2500. They came to 1500 including the appliances and a pool table.

I have not filed yet but am going to see my atty next week.

Thanks for the link AngelinaCat that really helped a lot. I browsed the local Pennysaver for garage sales this weekend, and I'm going to hit a few here. SOs father said that the furniture SO owns isn't worth more than maybe 1000 dollars, but I really doubt that since a lot of it has dings and scratches and so forth. I'm guessing maybe about 1/4 that if not less.

Seeing as most of the appliances are as old as the oldest cat (11 years) if not more, I doubt they'd sell for more than 1-15 dollars at a garage sale.

Mark, you will be fine, just stating Broad Categories, such as "Assorted kitchen, cooking utensils=$50.00"
Believe me, that will cover all the fryers, blenders, stirrers, etc.

And that type of notation is all you need to put.
