How long after closing business??

I am closing my business and filing bk...Do I need to work for 6 months at a job getting a paycheck before I can file or can I do it sooner?? I thought I read that they base your income on your last 6 months??

you can file now, provided you haven't recently used any credit cards etc. your income or lack of it from the business is exactly what you need for the 6 month lookback on income. good luck!
