I feel blessed to have had a decent atty.

I was extremely apprehensive about putting my trust in any atty. prior to filing bk because my divorce atty was so lousy. I would like to be the first to say that I put my trust in my atty and had faith that he could do what he promised and did that and more.

His staff is very knowledgeable and he responds to my calls and emails the same day. I've been discharged for 33 days now and I still have questions regarding the taxes I owe and he still takes his time to talk to me. I don't know too many people that would spend as much time with me as he did, but I feel fortunate and blessed.

My attitude towards atty's has changed and I no longer think ALL of them are evil, self serving, manipulative, money grubbing, bottom feeders......, sorry.

Just wanted to share and to pass along the thought that there are a few decent atty's out there, but the problem is finding them. I trusted my gut instincts, did lots of research and met with many atty's before deciding, but we had great communication and he seemed very knowledgeable of the bk laws which put me at ease because of the complicated nature of my case. Overall, I feel that I made the right choice and things are getting better everyday.

I had some doubts after signing with mine...Looking back it was just jitters..

My atty was well prepared for the 341. All we needed to show up with at the 341 was dl and ss. Atty had my file with everything that was needed that day. There were a few questions on checking, she pulled out the statements.

I have to say the firm gave me quite a better view of attorneys, while I realize they aren't all like this.

If I have one piece of advice to someone looking for an attorney, ask them if they will be the one bringing all the docs to the 341. That will be a load off you lugging your big file through town, hoping that you brought everything. This is afterall what you are paying him/her for

I really can’t say if we have a good one or not. I did advise her in email as well as person that she assumes too much in her clients knowing what to do or what it is all about. When we first met her, she told us of course your law suits will be stopped. We said “WHAT” the suits will stop? Then she said “well I thought that is what you came here for?” and we said NO, we came here because we have no money. The lawsuits took it for lawyers. Both Mrs. And I were literally in tears. She looked shocked. We were shocked. We got our adversary off our back. He is now attacking our bk with an AP.

But today has been good. I called our Clerk at the bk courthouse, and she said all we needed was our marriage certificate and by the end of the week you should be done. If I had not called we would not know this. Well I emailed the copy to my lawyer and it is posted in twenty minutes. So I don’t know if she has helped us behind the scene as we had many problems some induced by her. But not throwing under the bus was well as I would give her the benefit of doubt. I will say------we had a GOOD attorney when I see my discharge!!!!

You are fortunate to have a good one. I have heard so many horror stories here about lawyers. GBWY ‘Hub
