So far *knock on wood* anything I have listed on Craigslist has sold. It usually takes a few times listing and responding to MANY emails who never reply but its really great how that one person will REALLY be interested and show up with cash.

Cool. Thanks guys. I spent most of the afternoon taking more pictures and getting descriptions ready for everything (you know me, I over think everything LOL). Hopefully I'll start posting by tomorrow. I'll keep the pricing fair and pretty low to guarantee a quick sell.

I started listing my items on Craigslist yesterday and listed about 10 of them so far. This morning I received about 8 emails from interested people that want to look at my stuff. One of the guys has a new business and seems REALLY interested in most of the stuff. I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself. I hope he can take most of it so that I don't have to worry about transporting it and can have a few bucks in my pocket. Wish me luck.

P.S. He also said he wanted to look at it asap and would bring cash!!!

woooot!!! just a reminder to be somewhat firm on your prices - remember your items have value. and the say 3 vs 10 words rule applies on craigslist too. i've found i get the money i ask for by just smiling and nodding when they ask 'are you sure x is the least you'll take?'

              good luck!

                Good luck Belle!

And don't forget to take cash only, and don't hold things for people that might buy it.

Ditto on the cash only - there have been a lot of bad check scams on craigslist. Hope you sell it all!!!

Also make sure that if you get any weird vibes that you have someone with you when you meet with these people. You never know what kinda of freaks you might run into.
Not to add to any paranoia I like to be extra careful these days when I deal w/people and meeting them in places that might not be safe. Yep I live in CA.

Thanks for the advice. I'm meeting the first guy at my storage unit which is in a neutral place and he said up front he was bringing cash so if he shows up, I'm more willing to deal with him because he says he owns his own small business. I learned the hard way through my own business start-up not to take personal checks for stuff like this. It's too much of a headache and I've been burned before. I also made sure to list everything with Cash Only and As Is so that there isn't any debate later. Hopefully this first guy will buy most of it so that I can clean out the storage unit, wouldn't that be great.

I'll keep you guys updated. Man it sure seems like I have a guardian angel watching out for me. Since my divorce, my luck has really started to change, hope it stays this way.
