I'm not sure of the specifics of a Chapter 12 which is for family farms.

Most likely if you can't do a Chapter 12, then you'd be looking at a Chapter 13. In a Chapter 7 they could seize assets to sell off to pay creditors so you'd want to avoid a Chapter 7.
