    pacer question

where on pacer under what category would i find the letters to creditors stating that i was filing for bk?

Glc, it's going to show up as the "Notice of Commencement of Case, Meeting of Creditors..." on the Docket page in PACER. Please note that the exact same form gets sent to all your creditors; it's B9A (or B or C or whatever, depending on what type of bk you have filed). You, the filer, will personally also receive one in the same mailing, so you'll get to see exactly what your creditors got firsthand.

Check your BNC Certificate of Service (when it gets filed) to see who was notified and by what means. Many large creditors have signed up with the courts to be notified electronically, and you'll see that on the BNC certificate.

    Good luck!!!
Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!
