Share some of the personal property you've listed in Schedule B? :)

i thought you all might get a kick out of this part of my Schedule B, Personal Property:

#31 (Animals) Animals of unknown value:

Adopted African Grey parrot of unknown gender with
social anxiety (he bites), 15 years old

Adopted Boxer dog with thyroid problems and history of cancer; neutered, 4 years old

lmao - hopefully that makes them less appealing to the trustee :P

Miniature dachshund with narcissistic personality disorder.

Just kidding. She is a little narcissist but I listed her as... "miniature dachshund, $50."

We listed 3 dogs, $50. Ok so their pugs, but one paid $350 for one with a limp, she old and kind of B****y, and the other 2 don't have papers. So, if they want my dogs, they'll have to shot me first. Literally!

This was not me but when I was racking up my Pacer bill searching for information I found a case that listed EVERYTHING. There were shovels, silverware, a ping pong table, bathroom supplies, all the clothing - every item listed seprately. She only had 7 pairs of underwear. They had the picture frames, flower pots, clocks....on and on. We on the flip side have 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a rabbit and didn't list any of them. Dragonnfly

Our attorney added : Parlor Games with a value of $20.

I never did ask but I assumed parlor games meant board games. I find it funny because my kids are just terrible about losing pieces or mixing games up. The games out and the darn dog steps on the cover and breaks the sides out. So they end up in good 'ole trusted ziploc bags. I would have put the value at 0 but we still got a good laugh out of our valuable junk.

              Our dog was listed as
Purebred Basset Hound $25 value. We were on a waiting list for more than a year for this guy and paid waaaaaaaaay more than that. I guess he is stuck with us now because at that value who would want him. Besides he cries and howls ALL the time! now if I could just convince him that he doesnt have much value so that every time he gets out of the yard he doesnt require 7 people chasing him down the street to get him home! What a sight!

You list an animal in your schedule B, so you can take an animal care expense in your budget. I had a client with a Camel, of course Alpaca's.etc.

                Good Luck

No alpacas here, but I could put "5 short-haired farm cats," I guess. LOL They were all free or strays who were dumped/showed up when we lived in the country. Total value...?!

One of them does actually catch mice....

We listd our 10 cats and 2 dogs with 0 value. When the trustee got to that part of our petition he smiled and said his wife would truley freak with that many cats because she could barely deal with the 2 that they have.

LOL!! TMI! Can you imagine the paralegal that had to type that up, and the Trustee if they had to go over their financial statements.

What a question...bikini, granny or throng???

                      LOL!

thanks for the confirmation on that, bkparalegal!!

i have animal care and health itemized on a detailed expense attachment, but i undervalued it because i don't want the stress of proving how expensive these two nutjobs of mine are!! lol, the fact is the dog needs $40/month in thyroid-happy food and the bird insists on fresh fruit, veggies, and peanuts by the pound, in addition to the $30/month parrot diet mix. i guess combined they're still cheaper than a husband or a kid though. ha!

anyone else shocked by how lowvalued their vehicle was? i was expecting $3200 KBB value and it came up $1695 for the private party value. i could go get another one if i could afford to keep two of them up - ha! i did have a funny convo with the attorney i did a free consult with over that car; he asked what i drove and i told him. he was unfamiliar with the model, and running the value online; asked if it had sunroof (no), power locks (no), power windows (no), power steering (no) -- that got a biiiiig weird look from him and i laughed - i think he thought i was lying to decrease the value of my car! then i told him the mileage and he pretty much pushed away from the PC like the car was completely worthless to him :P.
