Food Stamps--Has Anyone Applied?

Hi Folks:

I am asking this just to see what the responses may be.

I tried for food stamps earlier because what I get in my little PT job and 'HUbs SS just does not do anything realistically as far as surviving until the next check.

I have applications out and have the possibility of going FT where I work PT--if only they would tell me something.

Meanwhile, the above question: How has it gone for you?

I applied for an received foodstamps my last 2 years in college. It was a lifesafer. I think I gained 20 lbs that year. I felt like I was living like a queen bee. I was receiving $90/month and that was just for me and that was back in the early 90's when 90 bucks would buy you a good month's full of groceries!!!

If you qualify, then heck YEA! Go out and get those suckers. You are a tax paying citizen and deserve to utilize any public assistance that which you qualify. Go for it and let us know.
