Thanks!! But isn't it sad, the first thing I thought of with the reduction in payment was GREAT, now we have more disposable income. HAHA! Sheesh.

We included over $80k in line of credit and CC debt with BofA, and held our checking and savings with them through the whole process. They never touched them. We still have those accounts open, and they leave us alone. We just moved to Chase last weekend, to have a fresh start with a new bank. But... BofA never gave us any problems, they were really reasonable.File Date: 08/30/07 * 341 Meeting: 10/25/07 * Discharge: 01/18/08

Also, when the calls start coming, if you have already retained an attorney, just give the caller the attorney contact info.
I have accounts with another bank as well as a credit union.
Meeting with my attorney tomorrow. He just called me and told me he has some ideas so i will pass them along.Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

Different bank, but similar situation (11 accounts at one bank).
I had:
two checking accounts
three savings account
my student loan
my auto loan
my home loan
two personal loans
and a credit card
all through Wells Fargo. The personal loans and the credit card were discharged. The home loan and the auto loan were reafirmed (auto has since been paid off). And I still have the two checking (general household and daycare for flexible spending reimbursments) and still have the three savings accounts (one for each child and one for us). Nothing negative happened with any of the accounts I retained.
However, keep in mind this is a different bank. However, most of the larger banks have so many branches and divisiont that the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Or at least that was our experience with Wells Fargo. Also cross collaterization is common to credit unions but is relatively rare in larger banks.Filed: 10/26/2006
