I've been sitting at work most of the day thinking back to this past Saturday when I had a brief encounter with my ex. He's not high up on my favorite people list so I just muttered a hello and planned to continue on my path. He took it upon himself to (in a very condesending tone) ask me how my bankruptcy was going with a little smirk. He knows fool well how it's going because he was listed as a creditor and I know for a fact he received a copy of the discharge papers. He was just attempting to be an *$%(@.
I am a good person and try not to do unto others because they did unto me, but there are still tons of debt that I discharged in my bk that he would still be liable for if the creditor knew where he was. He lives like a gypsy and doesn't have problems moving around to stay under the radar, but I know where he works and his mom's address is always the same. I've been grappling with the decision to pass that information on to a few of those creditors annomyously so that he can truly feel some of what I've been going through.
Keep in mind that after we split, his solution to dealing with the financial problems we were having with the business was to stop answering his telephone and telling a few creditors that he moved to Mexico. HA!! I didn't find all of this out until the creditors started calling me all hours of the day and night because he was "unreachable".
I have a bit of hate in my heart right now and can't really be objective and would LOVE some advice on this one. I just can't believe the gaul of this guy. I guess he feels he's skirted the issue and is living his new life footloose and fancy free. I personally know of a few creditors that would love to have a conversation with him about approx. $100k in bad debt.
What would you do? This is one instance where prayer isn't helping and I'm on the verge of writing a letter with his contact info to creditors, just to give him a taste of his own medicine.
