My Inventory List, how specific...

I am in the process of filling out the inventory list, my atty was not too specific, she gave a general guidelines sheet, but it didn't say anything about certain items such as the dishwasher, refridgerator, stove, and built-in microwave. Should these things be included? I would imagine they would be sold with the house.

Things that are not attached to the house (and would not be ordinarily be sold with the house) should be listed.

Value them as if you were getting them from a thrift shop or garage sale. You're $800 tv that you bought 5 years ago would no longer be worth that, so try and give them an educated guess of what the value is worth,

This is the list that I have created. PLEASE let me know if any prices seem off or something is missing before I submit this to my atty. I hope to do this tomorrow. I really can't believe all the copies of things the atty wants. I will be giving her around 400 pages of stuff. She is going to earn her money just sorting through it all.

I knew we didn't have a lot at home, but just looking and realizing that if we sold everything, we would have a whopping $4,364 is really depressing. Guess it shows that all of our CC debt really was used for food and trying to stay afloat.

You're way more detailed than I ever was...

I'd delete this stuff, and if you want, make a 'misc' category to cover some if you feel better.
The lower that value, then better to make sure you will meet the exemption value: (My opinion only)

You'd cut 307 just on the deletions, and if ou end up revaluing the clothing/jewelry, that will bring you down even further.

Otherwise, it looks good to me, but your attorney will be able to tell you if you too high for your particular exemption.

I don't think they need every towel or pair of underwear you own...they are looking for the BIG stuff that's worth beaceau bucks.

They want garage sale value. Have you ever had one? Your stuff is priced way too high. My attorney did not ask us to be that specific. She actually went right through it in her office. I know it is difficult to complete these lists, especially when you want to cover your self. BK2008 is right.

I had a professional appraiser come out and make a list and it wasn't that detailed haha !! He didn't list appliances for the kitchen just washer/dryer

If you use an extensive list, I would list the cheapest items first and the most expensive items last or list everything in alphabetical order by category. I personally like providing as much as possible. We haven't file for bankruptcy yet, but a few years ago, we had the highest level audit done on our State Taxes. We provided a huge amount of data. They were overwhelmed and did not find anything wrong with our taxes. Recently, we had to provide info to Homeland Security. In that case I provided every bit of data we could find and included a note to go along with the information. That tactic also worked to our advantage.

That is too funny. Give them so much crap, they don't have the time or resources to sort through it all. Somehow, if I did that for the bk7, the trustee would prob. send someone out. That would be my luck.
