I didn't research too much before filing bankruptcy and unfortunately did not discover this site until after filing. I filed pro se (I think that's the terminology), so I don't have the officials to turn for guidance to. I had my 341 meeting on Thursday and it lasted but 5 minutes and he ended by saying good luck in the future. I wasn't nervous about anything until I started reading around here. Now I am a nervous wreck about a lot of things. I am very close to the means test average (44k, and state is 46k) and I am worried if something might happen from the 341 meeting until being discharged.
1. Bank statements. The trustee did not ask me about any bank statements. Is it possible he will ask me for these later? Can he access them on his own if he wanted to? Should I be cautious about my spending with my bank. I am scheduled to travel out of country and was advised to use my atm card while there. This will be a lot of "unnecessary" spending probably in their eyes. I have direct deposit and that income does not change each month.
2. Student loans. I know that they can not be discharged. How do they find out exactly what are student loans based on what I filed? I filed everything listed in the schedule as debt I owe. Will these banks object to the discharge prolonging the time until I am discharged? Would these things be considered objections and something I have to go into meet with a trustee or judge again?
3. If my trustee meeting seemed smooth sailing, am I pretty safe for having complete discharge?
I am so worried and wish I would have had more time to research before I filed. I was rushed to file ASAP because when I get a raise, I would no longer be qualified per the means test and didn't want to be stuck.
Your help and suggestions is greatly appreciated.
