I used a P.O. Box (actually one of those mail places where you can say, "1234 Whatever Rd, Apt. 123" ) It was one of those small local places. I got this right before I stopped paying my credit card bills. I changed all my addresses with each cc company before I stopped paying. Then when I moved from Texas to California I kept my P.O. Box because I thought I might be safer if they all thought I still lived in Texas. The nice man at the mail place would box up all my mail on the last day of each month and mail it to me in California. I did this for 2 years til I filed. Now I get everything at home just to save money and because there is really no reason for a P.O. Box now.
We live in the country in an area without much traffic and we can't see the mailbox from the house. I don't trust that someone won't go through our mailbox and take something. No traffic and no neighbors, it's just to easy.
We have also moved 3 times in 2 years and will probably move again in a few months and it's just easier to not have to change everything all the time. I just have to worry about the few things that come to the house this way. We might give it up if we ever buy a house but I doubt it.
