I was looking on Pacer for any update today and when I put in our case number our information AND someone else's came up...In the same district, both CH7's...Has anyone else had this happen ?? It seems like this would cause confusion. We filed a couple months ago and they filed yesterday.

When I enter our case # in PACER, about ten other bk cases come up with the exact same case number as ours. Your situation isn't unusual.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !
10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Sunshine Mary, in the same district, yes. If you input the short form of your case # into PACER, and the page that comes up has, say, three or four different *complete* case numbers that have differing prefixes but the same short form case number, and you have to check the box to choose one before you can continue, that is extremely common and nothing to worry about.
For example, the short form of your case # might be 08-12345, but the actual complete case # might be 3:08-bk-12345-ABC. Someone else might have 5:08-bk-12345-TBA, etc. No big deal, just check the box for your own and keep on truckin'.
Only worry if there's just one case number... and the case it's attached to ain't yours. Good luck!!!Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!
