    yes, yes, yes...call and ask them STOP the auto pay and then just pay them once you get paid. They usually take out the autopay way before the bill is actually due anyway.

      I'd do as the others say, stop the autopay. Better to pay the late charge than the bank fees for an overdraft .

        I'm calling to stop the autopayments today. It's too late for this month, but definitely next month. It seemed like a good idea at the time, because the water company here is not a friendly creditor. The last time I went to pay my bill in person, the line was unbelievable and most of those people were trying to get their water turned back on.

        Our water co. will disconnect very quickly if you miss a payment. I'm assuming it's because folks used to allow the bill to roll over for 2 months or so, but not anymore. They are horrible and at the time, I did autodraft so that I wouldn't forget to pay by the deadline and have my water turned off.

        I'm also looking for a second job and I have an interview this Saturday morning. Not a ton of money, but it's a start. I'm also thinking about doing some minor baking from home to help pay the bills.
