Ok to use a bank you bk'd on for a credit card?

We are moving soon because I scored a better job. In our Ch7, we filed a credit card with Bank of America. It was originally a MBNA card but BoA bought them out.

BoA is popular where we are going. Is it ok to use them for a checking account?
    Filed Ch7 - 10/2/07 no asset

Congrats on the better job. More money fixes a lot of lifes problems.
No problem with banking with them if, they allow you to open an account.

You can open a checking account with any bank you want; just realize your BK could prevent you from being approved for an account, especially if the bank was associated with any creditors discharged in your BK.

I would also check with any local credit unions. They are great for working with you on a personal level. After less than a year GMCU refinanced my car from a US Bank redemption 722 @ 28% to 3.6%. I got an account with Fingerhut as well to help me get started. A secured card is the next step.
