I went to previous thread and i didnt see anything about client code. does anyone know? Im afraid to play around with it to much, Im scared of being charged lots of fees. Thanks for your help.

You should have received a login and password via email after you registered. You can ignore client code. You won't be charged anything...it's usually pretty good about letting you know that you will be charged before charging you.

thats weird, no person found under my name. and no case found under my case number... I dont know, I guess I could be in the wrong district! Although I thought I knew It was Western... O well, maybe I should stop worrying?!?! If my atty gave me a case number, he filed right?

Yes, I would say he filed. Mine showed up quickly in Pacer - my atty e-filed my BK last Friday at 9:30 pm. I didn't have my pacer password at home so I had to wait until Monday morning but it was all there when I checked using my case number.

Try searching it in another BK court - maybe you aren't Western?

LuvHm, as others have said, don't worry about client code. That's an additional feature for attorneys who use PACER on behalf of multiple clients. If they assign each client a code (which they make up, PACER doesn't assign it) then PACER will split up the bill accordingly and they can pass it on to their clients. You and I just leave that blank.

And yes, if you have a case number then your case has actually been filed with the court.

Regarding what district, if you look up the website for the various Oklahoma districts you should be able to determine which one you're in very quickly. Here's the website for the Western District of Oklahoma: http://www.okwb.uscourts.gov/

Try this link for links to the other Oklahoma districts: http://www.okwb.uscourts.gov/Link.htm (look under "Oklahoma Sites")

              Good luck!!!
Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!
