    Another Pacer Question

Ok, as most of you know I filed CH7 and I am poking around on pacer. It says this when I query my case#:

Case type: bk Chapter: 7 Asset: No
    Date of last filing: 02/29/2008

02/29/2008 was my 341 date so are you telling me the Trustee already listed my case as No Asset? What confuses me is the last date of filing 2/29/08? I was trying to look for updated documents and found nothing?

    So two questions:
    1. Is it probable the 2/29/08 last file date was the Trustee saying No Asset?
    2. What areas in Pacer do you keep a close eye on?

    Yes - congrats!

    2. What areas in Pacer do you keep a close eye on?
History/Documents - that's it. I log on and check to see the last date. Only if it's changed do I open it and see what new document was filed and open it. If the latest date showing hasn't changed, then there's no reason to check further and there's no $0.08/page cost to pay
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

I'm same as Lrprn and DRM, except I stick to the docket report. Same difference.

When I first logged into PACER, I poked around all those other links, and they are mostly the same info that is in your filing, just separated out for instant access by the court and clerks. I didn't bother with anything but the docket after that. History/Documents is the same thing, if I recall correctly it just doesn't have all the info at the top that the docket does. I don't need it, I just got used to looking at it, I guess. But if the date doesn't change, like they said, no need to look further.

Here's to no further date change before discharge!!!

I also have an update on 2/29, the day after my 341. It says No Asset, but I think it always said that since my filing date? Not sure...I'm definitely going with no news is good news. Nothing has indicated so far that I will be converted to a 7, which is a good thing since I can't afford it despite what the median income limit says. Good luck.

Lefty, actually there are two different places where it says No Asset:

The first is that when you file, you check a box on the very first page of the petition that says you have assets to distribute, or no assets (the $0 box on the same line, if I recall correctly). The clerk looks at where you put your check and sets the PACER flag accordingly.

The second is when you've had your 341, and the trustee files the official "Determination of No Assets" and requests to be removed from your case because there's nothing to seize and nothing to pay creditors.

Sounds like you jumped both hurdles; congratulations!!!

So I looked at Pacer today and noticed this:
Filed & Entered: 03/05/2008 Meeting of creditors concluded

There was no document or attachment associated to this? Any ideas??

I don't think there IS any document attached to the meeting of creditors concluded and the trustee declaring it No Asset. It is just a statement on Pacer as far as I know. In any case if it is stated no asset on pacer that's all you need to know.

Mine was listed the day after my 341. If only they had been that fast with the Discharge after my 60 days.... That's what I was hoping for!

jumping over here, so once they file no asset after the 341, the trustee is done with you? then you just wait? so, he won't ask for anything else from us as far as more statements or tax returns if he has already filed the no asset with the court? just making sure?
