OK to charge for the Pacer Service on my debit card?

I would like to get access to the PACER system, but I haven't filed my BK Business 7 yet and I am wondering if they are going to look at my bank statements and see this charge and think something is up with my case. I plan to file next month.

Itried, I can't imagine it would be questioned. First, you have to charge over $10 before they even bill you; there's no initial fee or anything like that. Secondly, I think (and many others do as well) that it is *indispensable* for the bk filer. Maybe someone can correct this if I'm wrong, but I've never heard of a PACER account being pinged as unnecessary. Just watch those page counts (it's $0.08 a page) and you'll be fine. I remember reading about one person who, prior to filing, ran up a large PACER bill, didn't pay it, and then filed, ultimately discharging the PACER bill.

PACER is a service of the Federal Court. They do not limit any person to Public records. PACER can by applied by a card and actually they do not, will not check credit. They are not interested in this stuff. Actually if you go to the Courthouse, it is free to use on their computers. The price is reasonable if you use it wisely. Check everything once, then only look at the docket for a change. Open and view, then save in pdf format to your hard drive. If no change, bail out. Cost per month is negligible if you are frugal. Checking will cost you about two and half bucks if no change and you don't look at the old stuff. It is easy and very valuable. 'Hub
