Hi all--I'm doing paperwork for spouse, he is filing Ch 13 by himself. Well, actually what I'm doing is proofreading the first draft of paperwork prepared by his attorney's office.
Have a question for Schedule C "Property Claimed as Exempt".
I understand what goes in the "Value of Claimed Exemption" column, but am confused by the "Current Value of Property" column.
For the property that's jointly owned, eg our house & car--should I be listing the "full" value of the property, or only "his half" of the value? Again, husband *is* filing, but I am not.
It looks as if the paralegal used the "his half only" value for household goods and furnishings, but the "full" value for our house, a jointly owned bank account, and a jointly owned vehicle.
Can anyone help me with this? I don't want to mess this up.
TIA.
