    Finally filed....

Well, I went down to the courthouse today, after weeks of sweating bullets and changing papers and all the rest, plunked my (momma's) cashier's check down on the counter, and filed....

I'm almost dizzy with relief -- at least now it's out of my hands for the most part.

Although I did get what I consider to be a tremendous compliment: as the clerk was shuffling through the papers (she knows I'm pro se as I've been there before doing PACER research) she sort of cocked an eyebrow like she was surprised, smiled, and said, "NICELY done." And then nodded in approval. She didn't even have to change the order the papers were in.

Dang, I couldn't have asked for more. Let's just hope the trustee feels the same way....

    Congrats on filing.

Great that she was impressed. I'm hoping to wow the clerks as well.

I think you will. The thing that helped me most as far as this part of it was looking at cases filed locally and making careful note of the order of the original petitions, and the docket (what was filed that day and soon after). In fact, there was one form I kept seeing -- "Verification of Creditor Matrix" -- that was not on any of the forms sites I had been to, local or federal, so I cranked one out in Word that looked just like the ones I had seen and filed that as well. I have no idea whether it is actually *required*, but since every single local case I looked at had one, I figgered it was in my best interest to do the same.
