My wife and I both play, just started back up from a 6 month hiatus because of the latest patch. Best entertainment value for the dollar we've found for sure.

ps...this may be more of a general topic type thing

LOL...right after I posted it I realized I had put it into the wrong place. I tried to delete and fix it but I couldn't . So I sent a email to a moderator but I guess they have been busy with the holiday and all.

Hi, I'm new here and was reading through the posts and found this one. My husband, son and I all play WOW too. Love it! We are pretty casual at it, but do have a lvl 70 each.

My boyfriend and I play. We've played since Day 1 when the game was released.

I have a lvl 70 rogue on Cenarius, and a lvl 20something warlock on Area 52 along with a lvl teensomething dranai shamen on that same server.

We play, but not so much and so obsessively that we have a kajillion lvl 70s. We're pretty casual. I do have other "start up" characters that I never bothered to level up. I do like the game.

We also like Dungeons and Dragons Online, but that's difficult since it requires grouping. We also have life time memberships to Lord of the Rings online, but my boyfriend doesn't like playing it because he feels it plays slower (we both know it really doesn't) and he doesn't like the combat system. :P I love LOTR online myself.

If you're on Area 52 (which is the one we've been playing lately), I'm Taykah (gnome warlock) or Trynidad (dranai shamen). If you send me a private message, tell me your bkforum user name and tell me you saw me here. I don't mind playing with other BKForum members. Those two are the ones my boyfriend and I are playing the most of lately.

BTW, I totally agree with allavdj. It is your best entertainment value for your dollar. You are participating in an interactive activity and can even have someone of a virtual social life. Especially since you have access to it at any time you want.

Awesome! I just got to area 52 yesterday. My name is Mamafire (Undead Priest). My entire family (yes we are all geeks), all 7 of us, plus real life friends and neighbors, play on the Elune server. We have played for 2 years now casualy. I don't raid much or PVP, way to intense for a Mom like me...:P I will look for you.

It is a great value. My kids have tried other online games LOTR etc but they always come back to WoW. My husband and I even have date nights when the kids are all out and we play together.

Its funny because I was always the "gamer" and my wife never cared so much for them. It even got us in fights early on about how I pay more attention to gaming then the family. Now she is the one that is obessed!

So true!... There news before about a couple so obessed with playing games that they had totally forgot about their infant still crying so hard in another room (maybe the game's sound is so loud? or they ignored? or game is so addictive?..) and kid waiting forever for the milk bottle/diaper, etc.. However, they keep play constantly for more than 12 hours. As a result, the kid passed out of breath, went into hospital room for survival... and both parents are charged by police with "child endangerment", etc. Mom + Dad both work as store clerks, news said as soon as they come home from work, the first thing they turned on is their computers 24/7... and yes, no TV sir!...

                          We aren't "that" bad, lol.

Plus my kids are older and can eat and use the bathroom on their own!

We still go on evening walks as a family, make sure we make time for the kids and do all the other things that are important FIRST before our computers power up.

But that being said we have cancelled nights out with friends just so we had more late night time to raid.

I introduced my wife to online games, we've played EQ, EQ2, LOTRO, and even tried out EVE. She prefers WoW with EQ in a close second. Our biggest challenge is out different play styles, she likes to stop and smell the flowers (and gather the herbs) and I have a tendency to hammer through the quests.
