    Documentation, etc.

After meeting with my lawyer he gave me a questionnaire packet to fill out for all the information he'd require to file my bankruptcy. I answered all the questions in the packet and submitted 6 months of paystubs.

So now... do I need to print out anything else? Is the trustee going to ask me for 3 months of credit card statements, checking account statements, receipts for purchases, etc? What should I expect? Thanks in advance.

My attorney had me give him my last 2 months of credit card statements, and all other bills. But I don't think he's actually giving them to the trustee so each attorney must be different. I'd just give your attorney whatever paperwork he asks for.

He hasn't really asked for anything other than the questionnaire and the pay stubs. I came in to his office after I was told that my bankruptcy was ready to be reviewed and signed... turned out the forms were done incorrectly. The paralegal did the Means Test/bankruptcy forms for a single household. I'm married but my husband isn't filing.

Even if your attny doesn't ask for CC statements, or bank statements, and such, you might wanna gather them together and hang onto them just in case.

You might be the "Lucky" one in 250 that gets pinged by the UST's Office for Audit. Or, the Trustee or UST's Office may simply request copies of statements as verification of information.
