My trustee went after a preferential payment (balance transfer) and a couple of hundread dollars we couldn't protect of our tax return. So my case became a asset case. I have been discharged since March. The trustee finally filed her "trustee's final report and proposed distribution". The good news is that only six creditors filed claims, including both my husband and my student loans. So even though the distribution was only a small amount it resulted in a 3% payment of claims. So the trustee paid my husbands student loan just over $1000 and mine just over $500.
Since it often feels like we will be paying on student loans forever, every little bit helps.
