Yes. I have used them. They are the site to go to for your yearly free annual credit report. You will get your credit reports. Mine were revealing, confusing, and well.. mine.

The Federal Trade Commission recommends them - http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...eereports.shtm

Annualcreditreport.com is most definitely legit and reliable. Other outfits who offer services around credit reports and credit repair are not. It's good that you are being careful and checking this out first - good for you!

Exactly why I posted the FTC link to annualcreditreport.com so that SouthernBelle could see they really are legit and trustworthy!

I got the credit report the annualcreditreport.com. I went to get all three of them and my computer locked up a few minutes after I got to the sight (for experien AND transunion). I had to hard boot my computer and now it says I've already accessed them. Sure would be nice if it said it was "free for a day" instead of a one time viewing.

                Pffft.

Does anyone know if it goes in a 12 month cycle or is in just yearly??? (meaning, I checked it in August of this year..... can I check it in January of next year or do I have to wait until August again?)

I've actually wondered the same thing.

You should of saved the report number, because you can access it again up to 30 days, as I'm doing now, as I've had to dispute a few things on Experian and Trans Union. I could not access Equifax, (I think they were down). Its really cool, because just after a week had gone after disputing items, I noticed the update on my reports!

                    Best to you, Catchmeifyoucan

Will the site allow you to print out your reports or just view them?

I saved mine as a PDF file to my hard drive. I can print from that if I wish to do so.

I suggest downloading and saving it to your computer because after 30 days you won't be able to reference it online.

I printed mine out from there. I pretty sure it is 12 calender months. I only wish they would include your FICO!!

What is the best and most reasonable credit reporting agency that includes FICO? I'm going to sign up after discharge. Its odd as Im only three weeks post 341 and getting CC offers at 0%! maybe they have my pre BK files....

whatamess, I found an excellent site that evaluates and reviews various credit monitoring sites. When I get home I'll link it here (I don't have the link here at work), if I may. (Moderators?)

Also, creditors know that if you've recently filed for bankrupcty, you can't file again for a looooooooooong time and that many times people are eager to get credit again. So they're trying to entice you back into the game.
