Converting question

Okay, I filed 13 in 2004 and converted to a 7 in 2007.

Here's the thing. My credit report states that I filed a 7 in 2004. Is this correct?? Does this mean that my bankruptcy will be dropped off my reports 10 years from 2004 or 10 years from 2007?

True that! I agree with JollyGG--when incorrect info is being reported to the credit reporting agencies that is detrimental to you, you have to fight tooth and nail to have it fixed, even when the reporting institution KNOWS it's incorrect, so take advantage of a mistake in your favor. It doesn't happen often, and it's not "immoral" as far as I'm concerned, so go with it

The only thing that I'm concerned about is I'm cleaning up my credit report. Since it says I have a chapter 7 in 2004, a lot of the creditors that I called to clear things up with said that they couldn't do anything because the debt happened after I filed. Then I have to explain that I CONVERTED it this year.

So - on equifax it states that they are foreclosing on my vehicle. This isn't true as it was added to my chapter 7 when I converted this year. I'm torn on how to tell the credit bureau it is incorrect without them trying to change the dates on it the chapter 7. KWIM?
(Not sure if it makes sense, but it does in my mind)
