I was reading a blog on the internet the other day about an individual who filed Chapter 7 in May 2000. In 7 years since his discharge, this individual has managed to run up $125,000 in credit card debt and $80,000 in auto debt (2 vehicles), plus 2 $500,000 mortgages.I found this to be very frightening that in a 7 year time period, he had acquired an enormous amount of debt and he was looking at filing bankruptcy again, but was upset because he could not file a chapter 7.
I thought that I would share this information with everyone; not to be judgemental, but I guess to make everyone realize that there is a life after bankruptcy but if you are not careful, you could be back in the land of bankruptcy sooner than you think. After I read this article, I thought I will never get another credit card again. I don't know about anyone else, all I know I never want to be in this position again. Actually, I got a sick feeling in my stomach after I read this article.
