Company credit cards for my job...

I have a Mastercard (BofA) and an American Express Corporate card through my job for work use and travel only.
Someone please tell me that filing Chapter 13 will not afect these two cards in any way! The last thing I want is my job finding out. Too many snakes in the grass at this place.
    Filed Ch7 - 10/2/07 no asset

If your company pays for all the charges on the cards then the card accounts are thru your company, not in your name and would not be listed on your creditors list.

Check with your attorney on this.....

All your doing is signing your name for your company to pay the bill.....

    Not your credit card...

Ok. The company name is listed on the card, then mine is below it. The company pays the bill on the Mastercard. Never had to fill out an application for it.
They also pay the AMEX, but the bill for the AMEX comes to my house. The AMEX card has my name, then the company name below it. I remember on the AMEX that I had to fil out an application and give it back to the finance lady here at work. AMEX looked at my credit report. I had lates, etc and still got the card.

If they are company cards, they are not your credit cards, you only have use of them thru the company for company expenses.

If you pay the cards yourself, then get reimbursed, then you may have a problem....

But if your company pays the card bills, they are considered company cards.

The company pays them when I file an expense report through their online system. Therefore, i file the report, the bill is paid majically behind the scenes, and I get the bill from AMEX at my house with a list of charges and a zero balance.

I'll still run it by the lawyer. She'll know best. I'll print out my expense report too showing it gets paid by the company.

We had the same situation with a company AMEX - hubby's name was on the card with the company name listed underneath. He filled out the credit report. Bills came to our house but the card was paid directly by the company after submitting receipts electronically.

We filed Chapter 7. Did not list the Corporate AMEX card. AMEX cancelled the card anyway!!

Hope you have better luck than we did.

This one you will keep. You're just an authorized user.

The AMEX is going. If you filled out an app and comes to your home. it's yours. reguardless who pays.

Wage earner plan? There is no balance on that card. I have to have that card in order to travel.

Are you filing 13 or 7?

A wage earner plan is; when your trustee payments come directly out of your pay. If your filing 7 you don't need it. You will still have the MasterCard. use that.

I'm not so sure I can file 7. I'm 8200 over the median income for my state. Also, I want to keep my house and a leased vehicle. Both are up to dat on payments. I don't know why, but I just haven't looked into 7 at all. I thought at first 13 was the only way i could go. I'll see what the lawyer says next Friday I guess. I have zero equity due to a 2nd mort and I am 14 months into a 4 yr lease on the vehicle.

If you have equity try to refinance. Call a broker. If you are up to date on the mortgage you should have no problem. I don't do AL. But I just had someone in the same situation. It was all CC debt. If you do this call the CC Companies to renegotiate them down first. They will work with you. Tell them what you are doing, But because of the cc's are beating down my scores the new lender will only give a certain loan to value, so if I have to pay the full amount, I will be over and not get the loan. I would rather try to pay you something then file. I saved my client 12k. If you want I will look over the paperwork for you to make sure it looks good.
