Why would Bush veto a law he and the Republican party along with many Democrats supported?

The credit industry did a thorough job convincing most of Congress three years ago that bankruptcy abuse was rampant even though study after study proved it was not. I'm also sure that the generous campaign contributions the credit industry made to re-election war chests didn't hurt any either. Shame on every single one of our congresspeople who voted for this overly creditor-favorable, badly written law.

If you would like to know if your congressional delegates voted for or against BAPCPA in Feb 2005, for the House check http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2005/roll108.xml . For the Senate check http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LI...n=1&vote=00044
