    credit reports

What's the best place to get them from? I know there are 3 main bureaus. Thanks.

start with your free annual reports. http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ Do all the work you can off of them. Once you have exhasted all the free reports you can get you can pay for a credit monitoring service. Alot of members use true credit https://www.truecredit.com/orderOrig...ing&cb=WalMart

Now that I have the 3 free ones what do I do? Is there a guide to what I'm supposed to be looking for as far as accuracy of the reports? I can get my credit score now if I pay. Am I able to get my score before the 13, just to compare them? Thanks.

This sticky thread has some tips for starting the clean up procces. http://bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=2188 Also check ou the stickies and just generally look around in the after bankruptcy section of this site for some great ideas.

Here is what I recomended in another thread to get you started.

Step 1 - Order your annual free credit report from all three credit reporting bureaus http://www.annualcreditreport.com/
Step 2 - Examine the reports for inaccuracies
Step 3 - Send a dispute to the credit reporting agency detailing what is inaccurate, this can be done online, by phone, or in writing.
Step 4 - The credit reporting agency will let you know the results of your disputes. If they changed anything you will get a new free copy of your credit report from them.
Step 5 - If incorrect information came back as verified. Contact the creditor and request that they correct it.
Step 6 - Examine the new credit report you may have gotten and repeat steps 2 to 5.
Once you have exhausted every free report you can get, then sign up for a credit monitoring service such as true credit https://www.truecredit.com/orderOrig...ing&cb=WalMart
Repeat until your credit report is accurate.
You will not get your FICO credit score from either your free credit report or from true credit or other monitoring services. The only real credit scores that matter are FICO scores and those can be purchased from http://www.myfico.com/12/Home.asp

All accounts that were included in bankruptcy should read "included in bankruptcy", the amount due should be 0 or blank. There should be no lates, charge offs, or other derogatory comments after the date you filed.
They may however report accurate information from before you filed. So for example if you were 180 days late on account before filing. They may still report that. Though in that case you can always try to dispute it as IIB (included in bankruptcy) and see if the late notation falls off. But they are not required to do so.

You can only purchase your current credit report. There is no way to get past reports. You shouldn't worry too much about your score right now. Just concentrate on getting you report to be accurate.

look around in the rebuilding credit section of this forum for tips and ideas.

                      update

I checked over my transunion report. I have 6 creditors listed as "included in bk" and all have no amount or "0" (these were all listed on the credit report under "adverse accounts". One of these I disputed and the next day it was taken care of. I thought it would take longer than that! I have about 40 other accounts listed below the adverse accounts. No late payments and all in good standing. On to the next to reports!

In comparing 2 of the 3 reports (waiting on 3rd), should the reports show the exact same information?

Why don't the reports look the same as far as layout, etc..? Thanks!
