    Ohio Bankruptcy

Any facts on what I should know in the state of Ohio? How does Ohio rank in bankruptcies? Am I in for a world of hurt, or will it be relatively painless? It seems that the state makes a difference as to how hard it will be in 7 or 13.

    Thanks for any advice.

I don't know that anyone can really accurately answer this for you. You need to look at the median income figures for Ohio and also the exemptions that are available. Those will tell you if you're going to end up in chapter 7 or 13.

    341: 11/6/06 (went AMAZINGLY well!)

How anyone's BK will go depends on the Court they file in. The Local Rules of that Court. And the Trustee you draw when you file. If you get a stickler for the Law, a hard nosed Trustee, or a caring and compassionate person. Part too, depends on your individual circumstances. No 2 cases are identical.

There's no way to say it'll go easy in Ohio. Just like we can't say it's gonna be hard either.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
