GASP!!! For 2 whole days now I think Chase has only called me 1x. This makes me a bit nervous. It's only been 2 months of me not paying them. The calls started up after about 3 weeks of missed payments and they've been pretty steady up until yesterday. At one point the number within chase changed from one area code to another and I read on the whocalledus website that this is common when your debt moves along Chase's internal collections.

So, what gives? Why is my phone silent all the sudden? Do you think they are going to sue me so soon? I can't file until Sept. at the earliest and I'm a bit unnerved by them not calling anymore. And I have like 3 other creditors that haven't even started calling yet and they are all at around 60 days past due. Wonder why they aren't calling yet??? Hmmmm.....

2) Different Collection account/tactics/strategies changed..

Could be, the calls you were getting to start with were coming from regular Customer Service. Since you didn't pay up and bring your acct current, Chase is probably moving your acct to Internal Collections. That's generally the next step.

Most times, Internal Collections will have your acct for 2, 3, maybe as long as 4-6 months. Then your acct will sourced to an Outside Collections agency.

You'll know before anything drastic happens. They almost always send the "Pay within 30 days of the date of this Letter" letter before they actually proceed. Even then, if you get sued, depending on the State you live in, you'll have 20-30 days notice of the Court date.

You're in a kind of "go with the flow" period of time right now. Get your BK filing prepped. Attny picked, docs all gathered, work on paying your fees, and be ready to go when needed.

Ahh yes,

Me to, from BOA. They havent called in days. They trickeled off to one or two a day then *POOF*. however, discover WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE. Sometimes they call four or five times and hour. They start at 8am and finish at 9pm. I picked up the phone today fater call number 4 in a half hour and screamed...I was trying to make dinner, the kids were fighting, there was complaining.....I lost it. Ive been checking on whocallus too.
It felt good.

Well that is encouraging news. Although I do owe 35K JUST to Chase. I put ALL my legal bills for my divorce on that one card.

Im 30 days late with Chase and they havent called once. I owe them the least and BOA the most.
