    Another dumb question

I had a checking account with Wells motherbleeping Fargo for 12 years and finally about 3 weeks ago they pissed me off enough that I stopped using the account and I closed it as soon as I was able to open another account at a different bank. I had been getting my statements online for over a year and never printed any of them out, and so now i obviously do not have access to them. Will this be a problem? How many months back of banks statements will I need when I file, and would they be able to print out this info for me if I went in to the branch?

I'm sure they will charge you for each statement (someone postes his/her bank wanted $5 bucks a statement!) BUT it doesn't hurt to ask! The courts usually want 1-2 months plus a current statement.

How much account documentation is requested depends on how close to the account closure your filing date is, plus your trustee and the customs in your bk district. For example, in our district when we filed Ch 13, we weren't asked for any documentation for any of our accounts - the court accepted what was listed on our forms.

Don't close any more accounts or cancel any cc's before you file. It will be better for your case if you leave $5 in any checking/savings account you are worried about - bk courts look more closely if an account has recently been closed to see where the money went. Also you'll be able to keep access available to the account if you need it for documentation for some reason.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

      06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
      06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
      07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
      09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
      08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

      10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Crap. Well it's too late as I've already closed the account. I can still get copies of the statements.
