    One more day

I can't begin to tell you how helpful this forum has been. I have been lurking here for quite a while now and it was great to find suggestions and advice from good folks going through the same kind of situation.

I filed chap 7 (approx $60,000 unsecured) at the end of December, needless to say that our Thanksgiving and Christmas were not at all joyful. My 341 was moved back a whole month from the original date due to court scheduling. The 341 ended pleasantly and the trustee declared no assets the next day. Like anyone else, we had a few snags on the way but tomorrow marks the last day for objections. MAN... I hope nothing happens.

    Snags:
    - 341 was moved back
    - Had to take care of a bad check written before filing
    - Summoned (during 60 day) by a creditor who claims they never received notice

Very insignificant, I guess, but all made me panic at the time.

My attorney has been great up to this point: professional, kind and straightforward, and I haven't heard from him since the 341 so I'm assuming all is well. I understand that most creditors will contact the debtor's attorney prior to filing an objection for a settlement in most cases, but with only one day left and being a no assset case, I know it's still possible but unlikely. I try to be prepared just in case; especially now that I can almost "taste" the new beginning.

Thank you all for the abundant information and comfort this forum has provided me during one of the most (if not the most) stressful times in my life.

The UST and Creditors "seem" to wait until the end to file an Extension or an Objection.

With your last day being a Monday, I can totally relate there. Our last day was a Monday as well.

Based on what I saw with Cases that were due to Discharge the same day as ours,............ The people who were gonna get held up,.............. There was a flurry of activity the end of the week before the weekend.

A couple of cases had Creditor Objections filed on Wednesday and Thursday. One, the UST filed an Extension on Friday.

Here's hoping you make it thru the day tomorrow with nothing posting in your case!! You're almost to the home stretch now!!

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

      Hey, thank you SinkingFast.

There has been no activity in my case since 3/20 according to PACER other than filing of the financial management certificate. I have seen a little of both since I started looking around this forum in January. Some filers received objections right around after the 341 meeting which seems to be the majority but I also saw that some others received an objection on the very last day....yikes.

I know...Monday.... my 60 days were actually up on Saturday but it got bumped to the next business day.

Everything has been quiet up to now so I hope this reflects the near future.

My wording was confusing, sorry. I meant I had to take care of a bad check that was written before the day I filed. In other words I wrote the check sometime before I filed and had to take care of it during my 60 day wait.

              So Far So Good.....

Last day for objections - It's 10:45 pm and I see no entries on my case. I realize this doesn't mean that nothing was filed....just nothing entered (big difference), which is a good thing. If I had a new entry today, it most likely would have been an objection. No news is good news for the next couple of days. I feel like I'm tip-toeing...........It would be so nice to strut with pride again..... Sleepless nights to continue a bit longer.

Directing of good vibes my way....MUCH APPRECIATED!
