Don't fret too much about this. We started telling our cc's that we were filing five months before we actually filed and at our Ch 13 lawyer's suggestion, gave them his contact information so we could get some peace after months of dealing with the phone ringing all day and evening. We didn't use our credit cards at all for those five months, and we didn't make any payments during that time to any of them either.

After about 60 days the creditors started calling us again, and we again told them we were planning to file 'very soon' - we were 'just getting the paperwork together'. We did not get one single objection from any of our multiple credit cards, and we owed $10-12K on several of them too. Unless you have some big over $1K cash advances or big charges for luxury items within 90 days of filing that suggest a 'bad faith' filing, it's 99% certain you are too small to bother with.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
