What is the cost for chapter 7 with attorney no home or assets on average?

We were quoted $700-$1100 by most attnys. The attny we hired charged $2K. Which was probably realistic. Considering the amount of debt we were looking to Discharge, and having to use out of State Exemptions and such. Even tho we were No Asset, we certainly weren't straight forward.
From what I understand, fees locally here, have gone up from last year. It's not uncommon for a tricky Ch 7 to be a $3K fee.
As others mentioned, Consult other attnys and rate compare. Sometimes the cheapest fee is not in your best interest.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

Mine was $1394, but we haven't actually filed, that's what we paid. Not sure if they're will be anymore fees, other than the $299 filling fee and any other court related costs.Petition Filed 6/4/07 :clapping:
