What is the cost for chapter 7 with attorney no home or assets on average?

    I was given a 2500 dollar estimate.

I think it really depends on where in the country you are located, if you in a rural area or major city etc. Also some charge by how many creditors you have. 2500 is not out of line. You may want to meet with 2-3 more attorneys to get some more estimates.

$2500 seems high, especially for a straight forward no asset case.

Mine was $1500 + filing fee and the counselling fees.

We were quoted $700-$1100 by most attnys. The attny we hired charged $2K. Which was probably realistic. Considering the amount of debt we were looking to Discharge, and having to use out of State Exemptions and such. Even tho we were No Asset, we certainly weren't straight forward.

From what I understand, fees locally here, have gone up from last year. It's not uncommon for a tricky Ch 7 to be a $3K fee.

As others mentioned, Consult other attnys and rate compare. Sometimes the cheapest fee is not in your best interest.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

MIne was 1700. The paralegal said that standard fee is 1500, she added 100 for the amount of debt and 100 for a recent cash advance.

In my area, we paid $2800 that included the filing fee for our no-asset ch7. We have a home and belongings that were all exempt.

Mine was $1394, but we haven't actually filed, that's what we paid. Not sure if they're will be anymore fees, other than the $299 filling fee and any other court related costs.

Mine was $1299, which included the filing fee, so the lawyer only charged $1000 for his part.
