Are debit credit cards considered as credit cards?

In other words, with my debit cc, there is no monthly bill as the money comes right out of my bank account. Will that debit Mastercard be taken away from me when I file or do I not even have to list it since theoretically, it's always a zero balance?

    Thanks!

You do NOT need to list your debit card. You debit card is tied to your checking account and therefore does not represent an extension of credit. Listing your Debit Card is would be the same thing as listing your Checking Account as a creditor, that doesn't make sense.
If you have some type of overdraft protection attached to your checking account and if you have a balance due on your overdraft, that could be listed in your BK, and the bank could, at that point, close your checking account in the event of a BK.

On a side note, MasterCard (and VISA for that matter) is NOT a credit granting institution, they are merely transaction clearing houses (note, AMEX is a credit granting institution). Banks and Financial Institutions grant credit and that is who you list as the creditor.

As HHM explained so well, our Ch 13 lawyer told us that our debit card and any credit cards we had with a zero balance did not have to be included on our forms when we filed.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

      06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
      06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
      07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
      09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
      08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

      10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Be aware that even if you do not include your bank where you account is held, it is possible they could close your debit card if they find out about the BK...happened to me...but after talking to the manager at my branch it was reinstated. Just keep an eye on it and act quickly with the branch if anything changes.
