    Question

All of my cards are in collections and have been for sometime a couple of years. My hours have slowly been going down and only make around 7,000 a year I don't know the credit card account numbers just the collection information. My question is will the collection information do. I asked him an I think he said that it was ok but just wanted to make sure. I have called my lawyer and talked to the receptionist but was asked her if it was ok if I only have the collection information for the one company because I fount out that company no longer exist. I was just planning to talk to him and wing it because I have most of the information just the account numbers for my credit cards.

    Thanks

    Carrie

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com, order 1 copy (free), print out, and give it to your lawyer to see who are chasing after you now. With address & phones listed you can contact them too.

I had this same problem when giving all my info, but if you go online and get a credit report then click the link to dispute something it will give you all the info you need plus account numbers.

You don't actually have to dispute anything you can just go in write down everything you need and then go back and print out your credit report.

Our attny had us pull all 3 and print them out.

Some Creditors report to one CRA. Some to another. Some report to all 3. If you just pull 1 report from 1 Credit Bureau, you may not get the info you're looking for.

Pull all 3 at the link provided above. It's free to get your reports. And print out a copy of CRA's report on you.

You are well below the poverty line. Unless you own anything of value, you don't have to worry about collections. There's nothing to collect and no judge would let them attach wages that low (IMHO).
I'd say focus your energy on getting a full time job with a part time job at night. Bankruptcy won't address your primary problem, income.

            Why pay for bankruptcy?

Collection accounts for YEARS, and basically no income?
