What is that about? Someone tat the lawyer's told me if you have paid one of those people in the past year the trustee may go to them and take the fees they charged back? Or are they looking to see if you were contemplating BK earlier than the time you actually filed? I did pay one laywer before, sadly- he was a total jerk. If I had taken his advice I would now be in an even more serious finacial situation. And that !!! has been in 'practice' since 1983????

To be honest I'm not sure what they ask that for... but we put down that we paid our attorney $2000... and then we fired them and went pro-se for the exact reason you did. If we'd have followed what he was trying to get us to do we'd either be in a chapter 13 and struggling right now... or we'd be in a situation where our case had been dismissed since our lawyer obviously couldn't read a law book to save his life.Filed Ch. 7 Pro-Se: 10/12/06

Can you detail your situation, debts, assets?
I am thinking pro-se myself, since three lawyers so far have given me advice that would have ruined me for YEARS had I not gotten online and started to research this stuff. I'd like to know how your plan went.Comment
