I have said I'm "self employed" as opposed to saying I'm a SAHM or "Housewife".
I am guilty of this as well! I also had to say that I made a certain amount of money, however, I would shave some from my husbands income when they ask for "other sources of income to be considered".
I honestly don't think I ever lied on one of my own. But i DID help my someone "fib" on a few. She was a car salesman and I helped her get other people into car loans before. Mostly they would fib on how much they paid for rent and I was the "landlord" just in case banks need to call and verify
I honestly don't feel bad about it though. These were good people with bad credit who wouldn't have been able to get a car otherwise.
