    Filing Procedure in California

Can someone tell me what is the filing procedure for California? I'm trying to get a better picture of the actual process.

    Simple Chapter 7 BK...

From what I gather there are special BK courts you have to go through?

How do you file? Do you have to go to the court in person or can you do it by mail or what?

I gather that you have to make one court appearance. Is that all?

    Anything else to know?

    Thanks!

      Thanks lrprn

That helps. I will chew on it for awhile.

      As for a rant...

What is congress doing meddling in this? Did the CC companies lobby for these new rules?

It seems like BK would be good for the economy freeing up millions of dollars that otherwise goes into the pockets of the CC companies.

I thought there were laws against usury. Wasn't it just a short time ago people were screaming about 18% interest? Now I'm being hit with 30%!

      It's insane.
