The IRS owes us money. I am just now filing my 2004 taxes this week so I won't lose that refund. What can I say.......I am prone to procrastinate.
I will be doing 2005 next week and then 2006 as soon as W-2's come in. I will take all of the refunds and pay cash for a car.
This is the tricky question. I have had a cleaning business, which I claim on personal tax returns and hubby has had a small lawn service on the side, which we also claim.
We are not claiming any of his for 04, 05 or 06 as he has not done much lawn biz.
The question though.......do I hold back, not claiming everything I can for my biz to get smaller refunds for all three years? I'm asking because I don't know what the trustees are looking for as far as the last 2 years go. However, I want to get as much money back too so I can get a better car.
I hope this is not too confusing. Also, I am dissolving the cleaning biz as of 2006.
Thanks.....again.
