My BK case is officially closed. The journay that started 6 months ago, has finally come to an end. It is the close of a chapter that has been a decade in the making. It is also the opening of a new chapter. I am starting over again. This time, a lot wiser... 10 years ago, I read and heard about stories from those who have gone before me. And sadly, I didn't learn much from their mistakes. It is such an irony that we are doomed to learn from our own mistakes, no matter how much others try to spare us from repeating their mistakes. We have to make our own mistakes and learn from them.... Such is life...
To those who are still awaiting day break, my best wishes are with you. Do not stew in the past. A new day will come soon enough. It will be ok.
Fantastic news, Spartan! I remember when you thought this day would never come, but here it is at last. Enjoy your fresh financial start - we are all so happy for you!

I felt exactly the same way when I first came here and read about others' cases.
The important things to learn are:
1. Choose an attorney carefully. Talk to several ones. Ask for recommendations. Don't rush into picking one.
2. Be totally honest with your attorney. The more they know, the better recommendations they can advise you with.
3. Be cooperative with the system. Despite what we hear, ours is still a good system that aims to be fair most of the time.
4. Do your part of the work. Don't let datelines slip and ruin your case.
5. A new day will come. But be realistic. Don't stew in the past. But don't repeat the same mistakes again.

Thanks Lrprn. You are a saint, for all the endless help you have been providing in this forum. Hope your case will come to a conclusion soon.
Sitting tight and let things run its own course is one of the hardest things to do. Such is human nature.. One of the fringe benefit that comes with maturity is, you become a lot more patient than when you were in your high school days. It is easier to be stoic and be patient these days. But it is still good to have closure. I am glad my case is closed.
Congratulations! I know it must be a great feeling!
What does'nt kill us, makes us stronger!
June 4 will come and go in a blink of an eye. This will be a great July 4th for you. You will remember this July 4th. Your case should be closed just in time for some firework celebration.
