When BK is filed, is the notice served to the one who bought the debt or the original creditor, or both? If the debt has been sold a couple times, does each of the buyer have to be served?
did they just STOP sending you statements?
We owe them the most money~ and I am thinking they are waiting around the corner......
I can't believe that they would not come after you with some type of formal suit.........

I owed MBNA the most of anyone! 15,000 on one card and 10,000 on another. I hardly heard from them at all. Went from 2001 to 2005 before I filed and no suit. I was surprised too. Interestingly enough I owed BOA 8500 and nothing from them either. Who the heck ever really knows!Chapter 7 Pro Se....Discharged Feb. 2006

A different cc filed and has a judgement against me, after 6-7 month of defaulting. I have nothing they can seize or garnish. A few month ago, I got a letter from their lawyers, saying to the effect that at this point they are not making constructive effort to collect. In other words, 'we know you have got squat that we can collect from, but we are not giving up." Legalese to preserve their rights. blahblahblah.
Truth be told, they can all go and get a judgement against me, and nothing would come of it. Judgement proof in America.
But if I make a come back, I am sure the wolves would be circling.
I am working to wipe the slate clean tho.

...got nothing from them from 2001 to 2003...then I got weird letters & decided to do an offer/compromise..way before I realized I would be filing & stupidly paid them $4,500 which I am now getting taxed on and have to deal with.....I am getting fined for paying a debt!?!
I should have never paid a thing...I had a $5K debt with BOA and did pay the whole thing off...since it was my bank and I didn't want any problems there...Filed Oct 2005discharged February 2007,Shapeless in the fire's glow, tell me if you think you know,

I wonder how long I could have gone without a word from MBNA, had I not initiated contact with the collection agency in an attempt to work out a payment plan. It's a moot point, tho, since they're now on my list.09/13/06: -- C13 filed with Courts
12/04/06: -- Plan confirmed!
Payments left: -- 38
